Aunt Tootie’s Pineapple Pie
Custard pie is brightened with crushed pineapple in this fun and easy pie. When I was little, my best-friends great-aunt Tootie would make this pie for the family each and every summer at her home in Iowa and it became a favorite of my family too!
Set oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees C).
In a small saucepan, combine cornstarch and 1/3 cup of sugar.
The juice and crushed pineapple are added, and the mixture is simmered over medium heat.
Cook and stir the mixture until it has become clear and thickened.
Take the food out of the heat and let it cool.
