Easy Runza Casserole
Recreate runza pockets in casserole form with this quick, easy runza casserole recipe perfect for a busy weeknight.
Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
In a large skillet set over medium heat, melt the butter.
For about 5 minutes, brown the ground beef while stirring frequently.
To the skillet, add the onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder; cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the onion softens.
Cook the cabbage for about 5 minutes, or until it is tender.
Add mushroom soup to the skillet and stir.
Unwrap the dough from the crescent roll packages.
A 9×13-inch baking dish should have the bottom pressed with 8 pieces.
On top, pour the beef mixture.
Add mozzarella and cheddar cheeses on top.
Overlay the remaining 8 pieces of dough.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
