German Chocolate Cake
Use this simple recipe to create a delicious German chocolate cake. The frosting made of coconut and pecans is heavenly delicious.
Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
A 13×9-inch baking pan should be greased and floured.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, eggs, oil, and 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk.
Use an electric mixer to beat the ingredients on low speed until moistened.
Beat rapidly for two minutes.
Fill the pan with the batter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
In the meantime, in a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the remaining sweetened condensed milk, butter, and egg yolk.
Cook and stir until thickened, about 6 minutes.
Mix in the pecans, coconut, and vanilla.
Let the frosting slightly cool.
