Healthy Mexican Chicken Bake
This recipe for a quick and healthier chicken bake with Mexican influences bakes chicken breasts with salsa and cheese after being pan-fried.
Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).
Over medium heat, warm vegetable oil in a big skillet.
Sprinkle half of the cumin, half of the garlic powder, salt, and black pepper on one side of the chicken breasts before placing them seasoned-side down in hot oil.
Cook the chicken for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the bottom is just lightly browned.
Each chicken breast should be seasoned on top with the remaining cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
After 4 to 5 minutes, flip the chicken over and cook the other side until it is just lightly browned.
Pour just enough salsa juice into the skillet if it becomes dry to prevent burning.
