Mulberry Spice Pie
This fresh mulberry spice pie, a delicious summer treat ready in just over an hour, is the perfect dessert for a backyard barbeque.
Set oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (205 degrees C).
Place the pie crust on the plate’s bottom.
In a bowl, combine the mulberries, sugar, flour, nutmeg, allspice, and salt.
Gently fold the mixture with a wooden spoon for three to five minutes, or until well combined.
Fill pie crust with mixture, then top with crust.
Make slits in the top with a sharp knife and seal the edges.
Pie should be refrigerated for 10 to 20 minutes after sealing the edges.
Pie should be baked for 15 minutes in a preheated oven.
Bake for an additional 30 minutes or so at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) after lowering oven temperature.
