Yeast Doughnuts
This light and airy yeast doughnut recipe makes a terrific holiday treat. You may dip them in chocolate glaze or add candy sprinkles if you wish.
Yeast and 1 3/4 cups flour should be combined in a big bowl.
In a saucepan, heat milk, sugar, butter, and salt until butter melts.
Beat the flour mixture with the milk mixture and eggs for about 30 seconds on low speed using a powerful electric mixer.
beat for three minutes while speeding up to a high level.
A firm but malleable dough will form as you add the remaining flour, a little at a time, stirring with a spoon.
Do not overflour the work surface when transferring the dough.
Four to five minutes of kneading should result in smooth and elastic dough.
Put in an oiled bowl.
Until dough has roughly doubled in size, cover it and allow it to rise.
