These sushi rolls filled with shrimp tempura, cucumber, and rice are fun to decorate to look like dragons with slices of avocado and unagi.

Rinse rice in a strainer until water runs clear.

Combine rice and water in a saucepan; bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low cover and cook until rice is tender and water is absorbed about 20 minutes.

Combine rice vinegar sugar and salt in a small saucepan over low heat; stir until sugar is dissolved 1 to 2 minutes.

Pour over rice; stir until rice cools and looks dry.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.

Arrange shrimp tempura on the baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven until golden and crispy about 6 minutes per side.

Cut tails off 4 of the tempura shrimp.

I created these lovely cupcake dog treats for my dog Presley’s fourth birthday. For dogs with food allergies, they are ideal. Although they don’t look particularly attractive, Fido will adore them. These keep well in the freezer, and you can zap them in the microwave for a tasty, infrequent dog treat.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper liners.

Mix together apple cheese applesauce eggs and olive oil in a bowl.

Combine whole wheat flour oats and baking powder in a separate bowl; stir by hand into the wet ingredients until well blended.

Spoon into the prepared muffin cups.

Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven or until the tops of the muffins spring back when lightly pressed.

Cool completely before serving.

1 teaspoon of vegetable oil should be used to lightly grease a big bowl.

Add the dough and turn it to coat it in oil.

Allow to rise for 35 minutes or until doubled under a clean cloth.
